Att a Generall meeting of her Maties. Justices of the peace for the
County of Midds & City & Liberty of Westminster att Hicks Hall in St. John street in
this County on thursday the fifteenth day of Aprill in the Seaventh year of the reigne of our
sowaigue Lady Anne by the grace of God of Great Britaine France & Ireland
Queene Defender of the faith Etc Annogr Did One thousand seaven hundred and
eight for putting in execucon the seid all Powers Authorities & provisions
granted in one Act of Parliament made in the eigth & ninth years of the
reigne of his late Matie. King William the third Intituled and Act for the
Paveing & regulateing the Haymarkett in the parish of St Martin in the feilds
& St James Westminster within the Liberty of Westminster in this County & for
Collecting & Secureing the duties & Sumes of mony thereby granted to the used
intents & purposes therein humitted & expressed Itt is mutually Couchided agreed
upon & Ordered by the said Justices that itt be and itt is hereby recommended &
referred to the honourable phillip Howard< no role > Esqr. Sr. Edward prideaux < no role > Bart.

Liberty of Westminster Inhabiteing & resideing in Westminster Liberty aforesaid or
elsewhere within the Weekly Bills of Mortality in the said County or any three
of them to survey & view the said Markett called the Hay markett & to order the
placeing a settling of Boundary stones or posts for the better ascertaining the
limitts & bounds of the said Markett place according to the dirrccon & intencon of
the said Act & to give Order & direccon from time to time as Occassion shall require
for repaireing & amending the Pavement in the said Markett & to enquire
whether the said Haymakett may not be paved for lesse charge then itt has been
for the time past & itt is further concluded agreed upon & ordered by this Court
that one sufficient person be chosen & appointed by the Justices of the peace
of the said County & City & Liberty of Westminster att their Generall meeting to be
held att Hicks Hall aforesaid in Easter sessions yearly to Collect gather & receive
the sevall duties granted by the said act of parliamt. & profitts ariseing by
the said markett & that John Tully< no role > Esqr. be & he is hereby nominated
appointed & continued Trearer of the monys to be Collected & received by and
for the said severall Duties granted by the said Act of Parliament & profitts
arisseing by the said markett for this present Year 1708. and that he doe
accompt for the said profitts according to the direccon of the said Act & that
Edward Lawrence< no role > be & his hereby chosen appointed & continued Collector to
Collect & receive the severall duties & profitts in & by the said act granted &
ariseing by the said Markett for & dureing the Terme of One whole year
