To the Right Worshipfull her Maties: Justices
of the Peace now Sitting at the Sessions held at
Hicks Hall in the County of Middex .

The humble Peticon of Thomas Woodman< no role > Cobler now a
Prisoner in New Prison .

Sheweth


That yor. Peticonr. was Indicted this present
Sessions for an Assault committed agt. Henry Seamour< no role >
Shoomaker ; and for Seditions words. Whereunto yor. Petr.
pleaded guilty.

That the sd Seamour gave Informacon to yor. Worshipps
That yor Peticonr. being Porter to my Lord Petre, he was
able to pay a Fyne of Twenty pounds.

Whereupon this Worshipfull Bench thought fitt, and
did Fyne yr poor Peticonr. in five pounds, for which he
was forth with committed to the sd new Prison ; where he is
like to perish for want of bread.

That yor. Petr. does confess he was Portr. to my Ld. Petre untill this
unluckey accident happened, when his Lordpps Badg was taken from
yor. petr. to his great prejudice.

That yor. Petr. has a helpless wife, & two small Children, who have nothing
to depend on but yor. Petrs. labour: and therefore they must of course be
putt upon ye Parish

Wherefore yor. Petr. most humbly boggs That this
Worshipfull Bench will be pleased to consider the
poor condicon of yor. Petr. & his Family; And be
pleased to mittigate his Fyne Suitable to his poor
condicon.

And Yor. Petr. (as duty bound) shall ever
pray Etc
