the Peace for the County of Middlesex

The humble petition and Appeale of John Maictland< no role >

Sheweth


That by order dated the twenty Fifth day of September last under the
hands and Seales of John Cleve< no role > and Richard Milner< no role > Esquires [..] of her
Majesties Justices of the Peace for this County (Quo & nuns) Your petitioner is
by the name of John Made< no role > and adjudged to be the Reputed Father
of a Female Bastard Child born on the body of one Rachel
Churchill
< no role > in the Parish of Saint Giles in the Feilds in this County
on the thirty first day of August last which is Baptized Marian and hath
as is alledged ever Since the birth thereof been chargeable to the Said Parish
and for Likely to Continue

That your Petitionr is thereby Ordered forth with to pay to the Churchwardens [..]
and Overseers of the poor there some or one of them the time of Forty
Shillings towards defraying the Charge of the said Parish for releif of the
Said female Bastard Child for the first four weeks or for the Birth
thereof and the Charge of her lyeing in And alsoe weekley and
every week afterwards to Pay unto the Said Church wardens and Overseers
of the Poor Some or one of them two Shillings and Six pence for and
towards the reliese and Maintenance of to Said female Bastard Child
So long as the Same Should Remain Chargeable to the Said Parish And
of and from the Charge there of a all times hereafter Should Save harmles
the said Parish and forthwith of the Sufficient Security to the said Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the Said Parish for the Performance of the
Said Order or to Appear at the next General Quarter Sessions of the
peace to be held for the County to abide such Order as the Justices of
the peace or the more part of them Should take in that Behalfe
That your Petition finds himselfe aggreived by the Said Order
Judgement of the Said and Justices and Humbly Appeale against the Same

Your Petition therefore humbly prays year Worship
will be pleased to order the Church Wardens and Overseers
of the poor of the Said Parish of St Giles in the fields
and all other parties concerned to attend this Court to
hear and abide the Judgement and Determination of this
Court upon and touching the Said appeale and that your
petition may be releived herein Etc

And Your Petition Shall pray Etc
