The Information of John Gould< no role > of the parish of St Clements Danes in the
County of Middx perrywig maker taken upon Oath this 18th day of October 17 [..] 6
Who sayes that on Sunday last about ten of the Clock in the forenoone Thomas
Warren
< no role > Clarke to Mr Thomas Granger< no role > of Lyons Inne came to this deponents house
in St Clements Church yard this deponent being the at home the said Warren
asked this deponent where he intended to dine that day this deponent told
him be intended to dine wth his Aunt at Chelsea whereupon the Said Warren
Said if he would Stay from goeing Hither till after Dinner he would goe wth him [..]
but this deponent said to Warren that he were best goe wth him. Warren
replyed he would not dine at this deponents Aunts but if he would dine
any where else he would goe wth him. whereupon they agreed to dine
at the Signe of the Moutter at the Neate houses near Chelsea & then
Warren went from this deponent & Said he would goe to Ly [..] as fand to did see
himselfe, & would meete this deponent at the Coffee house over agt Lyens fane
foregate, some after wth. this [..] wth Informant wth a frend of his
went to the said Coffee house & Stayed there for neare three quarters of an hands
but the said Warren did not come there whereupon this Informant left
[..] rd at [..] le Coffe house that he had Stand there soe long & then went into
[..] ens f [..] to see if he wuld find Warren there & went up Staires towards
his Masters Chamber & finding the dore of the Chamber thatt called [..]
twice or thrice for thehadSaid Warren but noe One Answering this Informant
went from thence to his owne house & from thence to the place appointed.
This Informant further sayth that about one of the Clock while this
deponent & the Company were at Dinner the said Warren came In
and dined there & after Dinner this Informant & the Said Warren went
to Chelsea to goe to Church but by the tune they got thither the Church
w [..] done. & this Informant & the Said Warren Staying some little lane
afterwards at Chelsea they returned back & came home to this
Deponents house about Six of the Clock that evening & goeing from
this deponents dore the the dore of one Mr Woodall a Barber a neighbour
of this deponents the said Warren & this Informant Stayed there wth
Mr woodalls wife & daughter [..] for neare halfe an hower & there this
Informant & the said Warren agreed to goe to the Signe of the Fle [..] De Luce
a Alehosue near Lyons Inne to di [..] be there evenings drauyll & soe
went [..] way towards Lyons Inne but this deponent haveing omitted to [..]
[..] he was goeing went back a little way to desire Mr Woodall [..]
