For a Misdemeanor

Peter Cook< no role > of White Chapel High Street in the County of
Middlesex Tin Plate Worker one of the Bail for the abovenamed
Defendants maketh Oath and Saith That the said William
Smith
< no role > is Absconded for fear of being Arrested by one Mr. Luke
Alder
< no role > one of his Creditors for an considerable Sum of Money And
this Deponent verily believes that it was the intention of the
said Defendants William Smith< no role > and his Wife to have Pleaded
to the Indictment preferred against them this Sessions
pursuant to their Recognizance if it had not been for the
Reasons aforesaid And this Deponent is informed and
verily believer that the said Defendant William Smiths
Affirs are in a Prospect of being Settled but not with standing
that he this Deponent has made all the diligent Enquiry
hecancan after the said William Smith< no role > and Wife Yrt
he has not been able to find them but this Deponent
verily believes he shall be able to bring them to Plead
the next Sessions
