your Favour of the 5th Instant
I did not receive until Yesterday; being upon a
Voyage [..] on the arrival thereof otherways should
have paid proper obedience to the Summons; as I
cannot possibly be in Town the 19th. Instant being
at this time in a very poor state of Health, humbly
beg You will be pleas'd to do the needful with
respect to the obtaining a Respite and putting
a stop to the proceedings carrying on against
one in the Court of Exchequer and every Expense
that this Business may be attended with [..]
thankfully repaid on my Arrival in Town other
I am hopeful will be by the First Ships which
Sail from hence to London have in closed your
Summons to me imagining it may be necessary
towards the settling this Affair; I am very
respectfully
