At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the
King holden at the Castle at Norwich in the Shirehouse there
in the County aforesaid for the same County on Wednesday (that
is to say) the 8t day of October in the 17h Year of the reign of our
Sovereign Lord Geo: the 3d by the Grace of God of Great Britain
France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth
Before Sir John Turner< no role > Sir Herbord Harbord< no role > Sir Martin Brown

< no role > Baronetts Edward Bacon< no role > Miles Branthwait< no role > Esqr
& others their fellow Justices of our said Lord the King to keep
the Peace in the County aforesaid. and also and so forth Assign'd

Thomas Howlett< no role > late of the City of Norwich Cabinet Maker now being legally
Convicted of a cheat by winning Money at Cards of one Henry Ward< no role > by Fraud and
ill practice is adjudged and hereby ordered to forfeit and pay the Sum of twenty pounds
and to be immediately Imprisoned and confined six Months in the Castle of Norwich
without Bail or Mainprize And that in case such twenty pounds be not paid before
the expiration of the said 6 Months Then on the last day of such six Months he the
said Thomas Howlett< no role > shall be set on the Pillory for one hour between the hours of eleven
and one of the Clock of the same day on the Castle Hill of Norwich And then and there
to have both his Eavs Nailed And that at the end of the said six Months he the said
Thomas Howlett< no role > be discharged
