MIDDLESEX .


AT the GeneralSession of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the County
of Middlesex , at Hicks-Hall , in Saint John-Street ,
(by adjournment) on Thursday the twenty second
Day of Febryin the sixteenth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, King of
Great Britain, Etc. Before Sir John Hawkins< no role > Knight
Sir George Booth< no role > Bart John Sherwood< no role > David
Wilmot
< no role > Esquires and others their Fellows Justices
of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the
Peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear and
determine divers Felonies Trespasses and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of
Walthamstow in the County ofEssex Did at the last General Quarter
Session of the Peace exhibit their Petition and Appeal setting forth
That by a pass Warrant or order under the Hands and Seals of Sir
James Esdaile< no role > Knight and Cadwallader Coker< no role > Esquire two of his
Majesty's Justices of the peace for the said County of Middlesex (one
whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the fourth day of December
1775 Mary Smith< no role > Singlewoman and Susannah< no role > her Bastard Child
aged about five Years were removed from the parish of Saint Luke
in the said County of Middlesex to the said parish of Walthamstow
in the said County of Essex Whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves
aggrieved which said Appeal stood duly adjurned unto this day now
upon hearing the said Appeal and what hath been alledged by the
respective Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said parishes
their Counsel and Witnesses in and concerning the premises It is ordered
that the said Appeal be and the same is hereby allowed and the said
pass Warrant or order of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set
aside and It is further ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the poor of the parish of Walthamstow in the County of Essex do
forthwith convey and deliver back the said Mary Smith< no role > and her said
Child (together with a Copy of this order unto the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint Luke or to some or one
of them who are hereby required to receive and provide for the said
Mary Smith< no role > and her said child until they can free themselves from the
charge thereof by due course of Law.
