SIR,
His Grace the DUKE of Northumberland having transmitted to
Sir John Hawkins< no role >
an Order of the Privy Council, importing His MAJESTY'S
Commands, that the Laws now in being against Rogues, Vagabonds, and other
idle and disorderly Persons, may be effectually put in force; and that the Ma-
gistrates for this County do see to the Execution of the same; And His Grace
having also earnestly recommended an immediate Attention to the said Order;
I am directed by the Chairman to desire the Favour of your Attendance at
Hicks-Hall
, on Monday next, the Eighteenth Day of December Instant, to
consider of such Means as may be most conducive to the effectuating the Purpose
of the said Order of Council.
