did on or about the Seventeenth
Day of October last Charge this Deponent upon Oath before
Addington Esquire one of his Majestys Justices of the peace for the County
of Middlesex
and City and Liberty of Westminster
that She was
pregnant or with Child and that Such Child or Children of which
She was So pregnant was or were Likely to be born a Bastard or
Bastards and likely to be Chargeable to the parish of Saint John
Hackney
and the said Ann Child< no role >
did thereby Charge this Deponent
with having got her with Child And this Deponent Saith that he
Did on Thursday the Sixth day of this Instant December go to the
Parish of Saint John Hackney
aforesaid and did there Inquire
of Ralph Ellis< no role >
one of the Overseers of the poor
of the said parish
whether the said Ann Child< no role >
was then Delivered of any such Bastard
Child or Children wherewith She was or is pregnant when the said
Ralph Ellis< no role >
Informed this Deponent that the said Ann Child< no role >
was
not Delivered of any Such Bastard Child or Children and which
this Deponent believes to be true And this Deponent Saith
that he did on the Same day See the said Ann Child< no role >
at Hackney
aforesaid who was as this Deponent believes in perfect health
and appeared to this Deponent to be then with Child and not
Delivered
