At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord
the King holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks hall
in St. John Street in the same County by Adjournment on
Thursday the thirteeth day of April in the twelfth year of
the reign of our sovereign Lord George the third King of
Great Britain Etc. Before John Hawkins< no role > Benjamin Cowley< no role >
Bartholomew Hammond< no role > John Spencer Colepeper< no role >
Esquires and others their fellows Justices of our said Lord
the King assigned to keep the Peace of our said Lord the
King in the said County of Middlesex and also to hear
and determine divers Felonies trespasses and other
misdemeanors committed in the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint Anne within the Liberty of Westminster in the said County of Middlesex
Did at the General Session of the Peace held in the Month of February last
Exhibit their Petition and Appeal Settingforth That by Virtue of a Pass Warrant
or Order under the Hands and Seals of Philip Dyot< no role > and Stephen Clarke< no role >
Esquires two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the County [..]
of Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing Date the fifteenth
day of January last Susannah Hicks< no role > on Singlewoman was removed and
Conveyed from the Parish of Saint Giles in the Fields in the said County
to the said Parish of Saint Anne as the place of her last legal settlement
Whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves to be aggrieved Now upon
hearing of the said Appeal and what hath been Alledged on either side by
the respective Churchwardens and Overseers their Council and Witness in and
concerning the Premisses It is Ordered that the said Pass Warrant or
Order of the said two Justices be and the same is hereby Confirmed and
it is further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Anne within the Liberty of Westminster in the County aforesaid
do maintain and Provide for the said Susannah Hicks on until they can
free themselves from the Charge thereof by due Courses of Law
