Middlesex


At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the King
holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John
Street in the said County (by Adjournment) on Thursday the
Twentyfourth - day of October - in the Eleventh Year of the Reign of
our Sovereign Lord George the Third King of Great Britain Etc

Esquires and others their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King
assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear
and determine divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdemeanors
Committed in the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Andrew
Holborn London Harvat this present Session Exhibited their Petition and Appeal Setting
forth That by Virtue of an Order or pass Warrant under the hands and Seals of Stephen
Clarke
< no role > and John Barnfather< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and
for the County of Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the 25th
day of September last Sarah Hyde< no role > wife of Barnard Hyde< no role > Mariner (in the said Order
mentioned to be gone away from her) and their two Children namely Elizabeth< no role > aged
Sixteen Months and Barnard< no role > near Eleven Weeks were removed from that Part of the
Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn which his above the Bars in the County of Middlesex
to the said Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn London as the place of the last legal
Settlement of the said Barnard Hyde< no role > and his said wife and Children Whereby the
Petitionersconceivedthemselves to be Aggrieved Now upon hearing of the said
Appeal and what hath been Alledged on either side by the respective Churchwardens
and Overseers their Council and Witness in and concerning the Premisses It is
Ordered that the said Order or pass Warrant of the said two Justices be and the same
is hereby confirmed And it is further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the poor of the said Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn London
Do maintain and provide for the said Poor woman and her two
Children until they can Free themselves from the charge thereof by due course of law
