At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the
King holden for the County of Middlesex at Sticks Hall in
Saint John Street in the said County (by Adjournment) on Thursday
the Seventeenth day January in the Eleventh Year of the Reign
of our Sovereign Lord George the Third King of George Britaine D
Before John Hawkins< no role > , Benjamin Cowley< no role > Thomas Nicoll< no role >
William Shakespear< no role > Esquires and others their Fellows Justices of
our said Lord the King Assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid and also and determine diverse Felonies Trespasses and
other Misdemeanors committed in the same County.

Whereas the Overseers of the Poor of the Liberty of Saffron hill Hatton Garden and-
ely Rents in the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn in the County of Middlesex Did at
the last General Session of the Peace held for this County Exhibit their Petition and.
Appeal Setting forth That by Virtue of an Order of a pass Warrant under the hands-
and Seals of William Timbrell< no role > and William Rugge< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace in and for the City and Liberty of Westminster in the County
of Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the Twenty first day
of November last Elizabeth Davis< no role > Singlewoman was removed from the Parish of Saint
George Hanover Square in the Liberty of Westminster in the said County of Middlesex
to the said Liberty of Saffron hill Hatton Garden and Ely Rents as the place of the last
legal settlement of the said Elizabeth Davis< no role > and her Female Child named Frances< no role >
aged about Four Months with her for nurture Whereby the Petitioners conceived them,
selves to be Aggrieved Which said Appeal was duly adjourned unto this day Now upon
hearing of the said appeal and what and hath been Alledged on either side by the
respective Churchwardens and Overseers their Council and Witnesses in and
concerning the Premises It is Ordered that the said Order of the said two Justices
be and the same is hereby Allowed accordingly And it is further Ordered that the
Overseers of the said Liberty of Saffron Hill Hatton Garden and Ely Rents Do provide
for the said Elizabeth Davis< no role > and her Female Child until they can Free themselves
from the Charge thereof by due course of law.
