The humble Petition of Joseph Brook< no role >
an Apprentice
Sheweth
That your Petitioner was by Indenture bearing date the
sixth day of June 1767 bound Apprentice
to
John Stewart< no role >
of the
Parish
of St George Bloomsbury
in the County of Middlesex
Cabinet Maker
to
learn his Art and with him after the manner of an Apprentice to serve from
the 24th day of April then last past for the space of seven Years And the
said
John Stewart< no role >
had the Sum of thirty pounds Consideration Money with
your Petr. and was to find and provide your Petitioner with sufficient Meat
Drink lodging and every other necessary in Sickness and in health (except
wearing apparel Linnen and Washing) during the said term.
That your Petr. served his said Master accordingly until
on or about the first day of March last at which time he absconded for
do at and being Insolvent keeps no open Shop nor follows his said business
but hath ever since secreted himself from Your Petr. and doth not
provide your Petr. with any Victuals drink or lodging nor in any
wise employ your Petr. nor is he in any Capacity to teach or cause to be
taught your Petr. his said Art and business of a Cabinetmaker.
Wherefore your Petrs. most humbly prays your
Worships to discharge him from his said Apprenticeship
And your Petr. shall ever pray Etc
