Mr. Thomas hopes that the above Answer will be satisfactions
to Mr. Jefferson, & consince of the Impossibility of Mr. Thomas complying
with the Notice:- If the above Answer (which is all that Mr. Thomas
knows of the matter) is not satisfactory to Mr. Jefferson, Mr. Thomas will wait
him to explain the matter further, on the least Intimation from Mr.
Jefferson of its being necessary for him so to do
