County of Middlesex before Thomas Phillips< no role > One of
the Coroners for the said County touching the death of
George Hopkins< no role > then and there lying Dead as follows

Saith Hopkins Dealt in PolognesThat the last time
Informant Saw him was the Morning after the first
day of the Election at BrantfordThat Informant is an
Headborough and so was Hopkins And they were both
Ordered to Brentford That Informant was at
Brentford but did not See Hopkins thereThat as
soon as Informant Came Home at Night he heard
that Mr Hopkins was come Home terribly Bruised
and Hurt on his HeadThat was the Cause of
Informants going the next Morning
That Informant was at Hopkins that next Morning between Nine and
Ten and found him Sitting in a Chair That on
Informants Asking him how he did he said he was
much hurt And said he had Received three Blows on
his Head as he Imagined by same short Bludgean
That they were given immediately One after another
So Quick that he could not Turn round
