At the General Session of the Peace of our Lord in
king holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall
in Saint John Street in the said County (by adjournment)
on Thursday the Twenty fifth day of February in the
Eighth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Sold George
the Third king of Great Britain Etc

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the parish of Saint Paul Covent Garden within the
Liberty of Westminster in the County of Midddlesex have
at this present session Exhibited their Petition and Appeal
Settingfoth That by virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order under
the hands and Seales of The Right Honourable Thomas Harley< no role > LordknightMayor
and Henry Bankers< no role > Esquire Two of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace for the City of London and Liberties thereof
one being of the Quorum bearing date the Twenty Fourth day
of Feburary Instant Michael Daniel< no role > Mary< no role > his Wife
their two Children (that is to say) John< no role > aged three Years
and James< no role > aged Eight months were removed from the
Parish of Saint Giles without Cripplegate London to the
said Parish of Saint Paul Covent Garden as the Place of
their last legal settlement Whereby the Petitioners conceive
themselves aggrieved Whereupon at the request of the said
Petitioners It is Ordered that the Benefit of their said
appeal be saved unto them and that the hearing and
determining thereof be and the same is hereby adjourned
untill the next General Quarter Session of the Peace to be
hold for this County and that on Notice hereof to be given
in the mean time to the Church wardens and overseers
of the poor of the said parish of Saint Giles That they
and all Parties concerned do attend the Court at Hicks
Hall aforesaid on Thursday the fourteenth day of april
next at nine of the Clock in the Forenoon of the same
day to hear and abide the Judgement & determination of
the Court touching the said Appeal.
