Middlesex , and to the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish of Hitchin in the County
of Hortford

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto
Us, two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and
for the County of Middlesex , (one whereof being of the
Quorum) by the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Said Parish of St. Leonard, Shoreditch
Middlesex , That Elizabeth Barnes< no role > and her Make
Bastard Child named Daniel Bennet< no role > aged
four Years and upwards have come to
inhabit in the said parish of Saml Leonard
Shoreditch not having garned a legal Settlement
there and are

[..] become Chargeable to the Same; We the said
Justices upon Examination of the Premises upon Oath
and other Circumstances, do adjudge the Same to be true
and do also adjudge the Place of the last legal Settlement
of the said Elizabeth Barnes and her said
Make Bastard Child is in the Parrish of
Hilchin in the County of therefore aforesaid

THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name to
require you the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Leonard, Shoreditch ,
Middlesex , on Sight hereof, to remove and convey the
Said Elizabeth Barnes< no role > and her said Make
bastard Child

from and out of your said Parish of Saint Leonard
unto the said Parish of Hicks

and them deliver unto the Church Wardens and
Overseers of the Poor there, or to Some or to one of
them, together with this our Order, or a true Copy
hereof, Who are hereby required to receive and provide
for them according to Law
