Levi Isaacs< no role > being Sworn and Examined Upon his Oath Saith,
That he was at the House of the Right Honourable Lord Baltimore
at the Bottom of Southampton Row near Bloomsbury Square on
Monday the Twenty Eighth Day of December now last past, last at
Night, And that about twelve o'Clock that Night or Near one o'Clock
the next Morning the said Lord Baltimore with some other person
came home in his Lordships Coach, And when the gates were Opened
for the said Coach to cameinto the comeinto the Court yard of the
said Lord Baltimore's Houses by his Lordships late Porter Edward
Gibbons
< no role > Deceased, this Deponent was in the said Court yard, And there
being some Persons then on the outside the gates, that were &
Attempting to follow the Coach into the yard, this Deponent Ordered
the said Gibbons to shut the said gates, as soon as the Coach came
through the same, And the said Gibbons did accordingly immediately
shut one of the said gates, but before he could shut the other, this D
Deponent saw Mr. Marsden and another person (who this Deponent
has been informed and believes was Mr.Lee, and which Mr. Marsden
and Mr. Lee are Clerks to Six John Fielding< no role > ) Pushing with great
Violence against that gate which was not quite Shut, in order
thereby to gain admittance into the yard after the said
Coach, And the said Gibbon's and endeavoured all in his Power to
shut Marsden and Lee from coming into the said Yard, but they still
Persisted on forcing their way in and the said Mr. Marsden did at
last force his way through the said last mentioned Gate by pushing
the same with such violence against the said Edward Gibbons< no role >
that the said Gibbons could not stand against the same but was at
