William Keys< no role > of Charles Street Covent Garden
within the Liberty of Westminster in the County of
Middlesex Victualler Maketh Oath that on Tuesday
last one James Smith< no role > was Committed from Sir John Fieldings< no role > Office [..]
for feloniously Stealing a part of a Bottle of Brandy
the Property of this Deponent and this Deponent
was Bound over to prosecute him for the same
and as he understood he was to Attend for that
Purpose at the next Session of the Peace to be held
for the City and Liberty of Westminster at Guild
Hale Westminster the fact being Committed within
the said LibertyThis Deponent Saith
that this Morning the said James Smith< no role > had the
Impudence to come to this Deponents house a [..]
Laugh at him being Discharged this morning by this Court [..]
for want of this Deponent having prefered a
Bill of Indictment at Hicks Hall This
Deponent saith that he was very much Surprised
to see the said James Smith< no role > at Large as he
thought & understood that he was Committed to
the Gate house Westminster and that he this Depo-
nent will Indict the said James Smith< no role > at the next
Session to be held for the said City and Liberty or
before this honourable Court for the said Offence
and prosecute him for the same with Effect and
therefore prays this Honble Court will Discharge
him from his Recognizance
