Middlesex to wit


The Information of Alice< no role > [..] the wife
of Daniel Lucas< no role > of Highgate Victr .
taken before me this 7th. day of August 1767

Who being on Oath says that her Husband Keeps the Sign
of the Fox & Crown at Highgate, says that yesterday in the
afternoon about 4 o'Clock three persons now present
who callsherselfthemselves William Edwards< no role > Richard
Thomas
< no role > & Mary Dunderdell< no role > together with a Woman
who is not now present came to their house, when she
desired them to go up into the Club Room which is situate
opposite this Informant's Bedchamber says that a short
Time before the aforesaid persons came in she locked her Bed
Chamber Door & put the Key in her Pocket, says that about an Hour
after the aforesaid persons left [..] the House she missed fourscore
pounds and upwards out of a Bureau in her Bed Chamber which
was broke open as was likewise her said Bedchamber, Door says
that from the time that she locked her Chamber Door till she misses her Money no
person excepting the persons aforesaid had been up stairs
as Company to eat drink, says that a Soldier who was
quartered there and who was to depart the next Morning
did go up stairs after the aforesaid persons went away but
that she this Informant went up stairs with him to shew
him his Room, that on missing her Money her Husband went
up to the said Soldier's Room and searched him, that when
the aforesaid Edwards Thomas, Dunderdell & the other Woman
went away they said they would return and drink Tea but
did not, says that while the aforesaid persons were in the
House, she this Informant saw the said Dunderdell several
Times Officiously upon the Stairs, says that she has Cause to suspect and
does verily believe that the aforesaid persons feloniously took
& carried away the aforesaid Money
