Who being upon Oath says that he knows John Spires< no role >
, Francis Boswell< no role >
and John Harford< no role >
now present says that on Tuesday last it was agreed amongst then
all to Rob on the Highway, and that the said John Spires< no role >
that day bought
the Pistol found with this Informant, and had an other himself now produced
says that being Armed as follows vizt. this Informant and Spires each Pistol
and said Boswell and Harford with each of them a knife also now produced, they
went out towards Pancross Church in order to put their agreement into execution
and that the last place they drank at was at Curtises known by the Name of
the New Alehouse in New Kings Street St. Giles's
, where they sat in the
BookTaly Room and drank Beer which they were served with by Jack the
Waiter, and quitted that house at about 11 o' Clock or near unto that hour, says
they proceded on to the Hay Field on the left hand side the Road leading to
Kentish Town
and there concealed themselves in a Haycock until they
heard a Coach come along the Road, that they then stept the Coachman
and found it was a Hackney Coach with two Men Passengers whom they
Robbed, that Spires recd. the Money in is hatt which was only, a she
said [..] either two Shillings and four pence half penny or five pence
half penney, says after this they all four went together to the hight Collar
in the Haymarket
when they arived at about two in the Morning
that the there had four Bricks and Cheese and two Potts of Beer
says that he Boswell and Spires continued together all day yesterday
Intending to go out again at Night and Commit Highway Robberies, and
Sought after Harford at Night until near Ten o Clock for that,
purpose, but not being able to find him they set out without him,
intending to Rob nearer Hampstead
but were Apprehended before they
had Committed any Robbery agt that the other three finding themselves
going to be Apprehended three down their Weapons
