At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the
King holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint
John Street in the said County (by Adjournment) on Saturday the
Second day of May in the Seventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the Third King of Great Britain Etc

Whereas the Churchwardens of the Parish of Saint Leanard Shoreditch
in this County Have at this Present Session Exhibited their Petition and
Appeal Setting forth That on the Eighth day of April 1767 James Laird< no role >
then one of the late Overseers of the poor of the said Parish came before Robert
Pell
< no role > Esquire one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County of
Middlesex and upon his Oath verified the Truth of his Accounts as one of the
Overseers for the said Parish in the year 1766 That the said James Laird< no role >
hath not in his said Account given the said Parish Credit for all the Sums of
Money he had received or might have received and as such the Petitioners
Did Apprehend the said Account was Erronious and unjust And pray
Relief in the Premisses Whereupon at the request of the said Petitioners
It is Ordered that the benefit of their said Appeal be saved unto them
And that the hearing and determining thereof be And the same is hereby
Adjourned until the next General Session of the Peace to be held for this
County and that the said James Laird< no role > on Notice hereof to be given to him
in the mean time that he and all Persons concerned do Attend the Court
at Hicks Hall aforesaid on Thursday the Fourth day of June next at
Nine of the Clock in the forenoon of the same day to hear and abide the
Judgment and Determination of the Court touching the said Appeal.
