Elizabeth Cotton< no role > One of the Searchers of Spitalfields Parish
Saith that last Tuesday Night Mrs Collins Come to Informants
and left word for Informant to Come to her House
That in the Evening Informant went there But Collins was
not at Home and her Son told Informant that she could not
see the Body till without his Mother was at Home
That Informant went on Wednesday Morning about Nine
to view the Body And found it Shrowded and put in a very
Handsome Coffin with the Window and Window Shutters of the Room Shut
CloseThat there was no Candle brot. and Informant
Asking for more Light Mrs. Collins Desired her Son to open the
Window Shutter a little further which he did But he held the
Lid of the Coffin so that she could not see the Face of the Child
That Informant Observed to Mrs Collins that there was
something the Matter with the Childs Legs Upon which Mrs.
Collins Answered that she had sat so near the Fire that
they had been [..] Scoreh'dThat Mrs. Collins told
Informant that the Child had Died of Convulsions And that
it Died on Saturday Night last
