Thomas Baker< no role > of White Chappell Road Dealer in Earthen
Ware Saith That last Friday Evening between Six and Seven
he was Coming from White Chappell Church towards the
Turnpike And as he Came near the Sign of the Last by the
Burying Ground he saw a person (whose Name he hath since
heard is Slack) Coming along the Road on a Grey Horse as
hard as he could well Lay Legs to the Ground
That there was another Person upon a Bay Horse on the
Other side the Road full Speed likewiseThat he cannot
say which was firstThat the Man upon the Gray
Horse said something before he got up to the Woman but
he cannot say what it wasThat he was then about
Twenty Yards from the Woman and Informant was
between him and the WomanThat the Man upon the
Grey Horse rode against the Woman and Beat her down and
then rode on as fast as he couldThat he went to the
Woman to help her up and he did not See the Man
Turn Back or Attempt to Turn back with his Horse
And Says he did not Attempt to Stop or Turn his Horse
out of the way [..] before he got to the Woman to the best
the Mark of the said
of his (this Informants) Knowledge
