At the GeneralSession of the Peace of our Lord the King holden for
the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in the said County
(by Adjournment) On Thursday the Twenty third day of may in the Fifty year
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third King of Great Britain Etc

Esquires Justices of our said Lord the King Assigned to keep the Peace in the
County aforesaid and also to hear and determine divers Felonies Trespasses
and other Misdemeanours committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Clement Danes in the said County Did at the last General Quarter Session of
the Peace held at Hicks Hall aforesaid Exhibit their Petition and Appeal Seting forth
That by a Pass Warrant or Order under the hands and Seals of William Timbrell< no role > and
William Mantle< no role > Esquires Two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City and
Liberty of Westminster (one of the Quorum) bearing date the Twenty Seventh day
of March 1765 Mary Sheriffe< no role > Widow of John Sheriffe< no role > was removed from the Parish of
Saint George Hanover Square in the Liberty of Westminster to the Parish of Saint
Clement Danes in the said Liberty whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves
to be Aggrieved Which Appeal was duly Adjourned unto this day New upon
hearing of the said Appeal and what hath been Alledged on either side by the
respective Chruchwardens and Overseers their Council and Witnesses in and
concerning the Premisses it is Ordered that the said Appeal be and the same
is hereby Allowed And the said Order of the said two Justices is hereby Quashed
and Vacated And it is further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of Saint Clement Danes or some or one of them Do forthwith
Convey and Deliver back the said Mary Sheriffe (together with a Copy of this
Order) unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of
Saint George Hanover Square in the Liberty of Westminster or to some or one
of them who are hereby required to receive and provide for the said Mary
Sheriffe until they can Free themselves from the Charge thereof by due course
of Law.
