It would be almost endless to enumerate the particulars
of the sevl. Grants made to the City, Besides Murage above
mentd. they have a Duty on Goods imported on put to sale called Seavage
or Shewage and they have an Officer constantly attendant at
the customhouse they also sell places & Officessome of them
Indivialto ye Accots. of near 200,000 The Rent Roll of their
Estate is now near £50,000 and and when White
Conduct Mead & New Broad Sheet fall in wch. they will do
in a few yrs. it may be half as much more If it shod. be
layd that these Revenues are not appropriated for the building
or Repair & Gaols we say that in Justice they are applicable to
public purposes. and with the consent of part are easily made
