Know all Men by these Presents That I
Bateman of Aldersgate

am - held and firmly bound to John Abchurch< no role > of Bedford
Street near Bedford Row in the County of Middlesex
Watch Movement maker in twenty Pounds
of Good and lawfull Money of Great Britain To be paid to the
said John Abchurch
or his certain Attorney Executor Administrators Assignes For
which Payment to be well and Faithfully made I bind myself
my
Heirs Executors and Administratorsfirmly
by these Presents Sealed with my Seal Dated this
day ofin the fourthYear of the Regin of our Sovereign
Lord George the third by the grace of God Great Britain France
and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the Year of
our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and sixty four

Whereas Samuel Bateman< no role > Son of the above bound
Bateman by certain Indentures of Apprenticeship became bound
to John Abchurch of Bedford Street near Bedford Row in the County
of Middlesex Watch Movement maker to serve him in the
manner an Apprentice for the Term of Seven Years from the Day
of the date thereof of which Term there is now about the space of
Months to come and unexpired as by said Indentures
relation being thereunto had more fullly may appear And
Whereas the said Samuel Bateman< no role > since his being such
Apprentice hath not only at several times absconded himself
from the Service of his said Master but hath also greatly
misbehaved himself in many other respects and for which he
now stands committed to the House of Correction at Clerkenwell
And Whereas upon Application now made by the said
Bateman the Father and the said Samuel Bateman< no role >
the Son and in consideration and upon Condition that the said
Samuel Bateman< no role > the Son non promises from hence forth to serve
the residue to his time justly And also in Consideration that the
