The following appearances occurred upon examining
the Body of Ann Davis< no role >

A Large black Spot between the Collar Bone , and Second Rib
on the right Side.

A Wound upon the Stead, just before and above the Situation
of the middle of the left parictal Bone, about the Size
of a Shilling.

Upon opening the Chest, the Lungs on the right Side
were black & Swimming in about a pint and half of a
purulent matter. They were free of Adhesion, Upon
putting a peice of them into Water it was scaraly
Supported by the Water

The Lungs on the left Side had the Marks of having
been Slightly inflamed. The fifth and Sixth Ribs were
broke. The Pleura lining the fractured Parts of the Ribs
was very thin and had several little Holes in it.
There was a little thick matter between the Ends of
the broken Bones; & a very little in the lavity of
the Chest which was mixed with a bloody Serum;
which is usual to soak thro from the Lungs after
Death.

The Scalp was seperated from the Skull to the Size
of an Oval , whose greatest Diameter is two Miches &
a half, & whose transverse Diameter is one Inch &
a Half. Upon the removal of the Skull the Dura
Mater appeared Suppurated. & upon raising it the4
pia Mater was covered with Matter, & the Lortical
part of the Brain was dark coloured, as the it had
been inflamed under that part of the Pia mater
where the Suppuration happened

So that all the Diseased Parts of the Head, were
immediately within the part which had reced the
external Wound.
