WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto
Us whose Hands and Seals are hereunto Set,
being two of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middlesex
aforesaid (one whereof being of the Quorum) by the
Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Said
Parish of St. Matthews Bethnal Green
That Sarah Roberts< no role > Singlewoman
with her Child William aged about thirteen
Months, a Bastard born of her body out of
Lawful Matrimony lately intruded, and
came into the Said Parish of St. Matthew Bethnal
Green and is likely to become chargeable to the Same;
We the Said Justices, upon Examination of the Premisses
upon Oath, and other Circumstances, do adjudge the
Same to be true, and do also adjudge the Place of the
last legal Settlementsof the Said Sarah Roberts< no role >
to be in the Said Parish of St. Peter Le Poor

THESE are therefore, in his Majesty's Name, to
require you, on Sight hereof; to remove and
convey the Said Sarah Roberts< no role > to
and the said William< no role > her Bastard Child
from and out of your Said Parish of St. Matthews Bethnal
Green to the Said Parish of St. Peter Le Poor
and thence deliver unto the Church-Wardens and
Overseers of the Poor there, or to Some, or one of them
together with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof,
who are hereby required to receive and provide for
Sarah Roberts< no role > and als her said Child saint with her for Indenture according to Law: Given under our
Hands and Seals this 23d. Day of Septemr.
