Thomas Edes< no role > of Great Chelsea in the County of Middlesex
Victualler and John Newby< no role > of Great Chelsea aforesaid Gentleman
Severally Make Oath and Say and first this Deponent Thomas Edes
for himself Saith that he this Deponent together with one Robert
Prookman
< no role > of Great Chelsea aforesaid Gardiner did on the twenty
Second day of August last Enter into a Recognizance before Thomas
Miller
< no role > Esquire one of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the said
County of Middlesex for the Appearance of Martha Neale at the then
next General Sessions of the Peace to be Holden for the said County
at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street then and there to answer to all
such Matters and things as should be Objected against her by ann
otrsay And this Deponent further Saith that at the last Sessions
of the Peace for the said County held at Hicks Hall aforesaid
a certain Bill of Indictment was found against the said Martha
Neale for a Misdemeanor in Unlawfully keeping and maintaining
a certain Comon Ill Governed and Disorderly House in the Parish
of Chelsea as this Deponent has been Informed and verily beliwes
And this Deponent John Newby< no role > for himself Saith that he did
Yesterday the Seventeenth day of this Instant October attend at the
Kings Bendh Prison in Saint George's Fields in the County of Surry
and did them and there Search the Book with the Clerk of the Papers
there concerning the said Martha Neale and from whom this Deponent
obtained the annexed Certificate which this Deponent verily beleives
to be true And this Deponent further Saith that the said Martha
Neale now a Prisoner in the Kings Bench Prison aforsaid is
the same Identical person mentioned in the said Bill of Indictment
