The Information [..] of James

day of May 1763

Who being upon oath saith that he knows one Elex and or Apprentice
to a Barber in St Martin Lane , one Edward Price< no role > (now in the
Gatehouse, one Frank Smith< no role > apprentice to a Copper Plate
Printer at the Royal Exchange & Joseph Kitchin< no role > belonging to an
Upholsterers in Bedford Street Covent Garden , says that he
in Company with them has been Guilty of divers [..] Folonies
particularly of Picking the Pockets of several Persons in the
Streets of Handkerchiefs which Handkerchiefs they used to soll
[..] at a Shop next the [..] Cooks Shop in Broad St Giles's , at the
second House in Chick Lane leading from Field Lane in Holborn
and at another Shop in Field Lane where his mother Died all the
Keepers of said Shops well knowing the Goods they so bought to
have been Stolen
