May it please your Worship,

As your great humanity has allways
pitied the unfortunate & distresses, I hope you
will please to have some compassion upon me
who have had the misfortune to be confined in
New prison 6 months in consequence of an
assault wch. my Wife has Swore against
me & as my time of pired last Thursday
& having not a farthing money to [..] play
an a Horney in order to be discharged
I am hath to be here still longer when
I must inevitable stared having no body
to suport and my acquaint to being tired
of supplying me, as I am to perfect a
bond of £100 towards my future behaviour
& not knowing for want of money how
to do it, hope that yr. Worship in your
great goodness will [..] to have
me brought to Court in order to maker
the bond having a person in Holborn who
out of charity will pay my goal & Court
fees being a Coachman who lived in wll.
good families of repute & lived in Credit
upon my own acct. I hope yr. worship will
july me & order me relief, otherwise I will
be in capable of getting my bread if I stay
any longer in prison, as want & being oblig'd
to the upon the bare boards has allmost
