Middlesex To wit


The Information of John Cook< no role > of Harrow
on the Hill Tanner taken before
me this 16th. day of March 1763

Who being Oath says that a she was Riding home from
London on Saturday Evening last two Persons Horseback
Maskt, stopyt him near Holsdon Green both Presented
Pistols and demanded his Money, says he offered them
three Shillings in Silver, says that they told him he had more
and that they must have it says that at this Instant a
person came up whom he afterwards found to be
Mr. Jos: Brown< no role > , says that one of the Persons then said
this Fellow is coming shall I stop him, that the other
said ye, and that one of them immediately went from
him and that the other staid with this Informt. and
attempted to Search him, but finding nothing Ordered him
to stay that immediately afterwards he heard a Pistol
go off and found that a Person now present who calls
himself Paul Lewis< no role > This name instance is in set 3638. was in Custody of the said Mr. Brown
says that he is very sure that the said Paul Lewis< no role > is one
of the Persons who assaulted him with intent to Robb
him as aforesaid
