WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto us, two of
his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) by the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. Giles in the Fields in the Said County,
That Ann Chapman< no role > Singlewoman is

lately come into the Said Parish endeavouring to Settle
there, contrary to Law. And it appeareth unto us the
Said Justices, and we do adjudge that She is likely
to become chargeable to the Said Parish; and upon Exami-
nation of the said Ann Chapman< no role >
taken upon Oath, it further appeareth unto us,
and we do likewise adjudge, that the Liberty of
Saffron Hill Hatton Garden and Ely
Rents in the sd. County is the Place of the last legal
Settlement of the Said Ann Chapman< no role >

These are therefore in his Majesty's Name to Charge and
Command the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Said Parish of St. Giles in the fields
forthwith to remove and convey the Said Ann
Chapman

from the Said Parish of St. Giles in the fields
to the SaidParish of Liberty of Saffron Hill Halton
Garden & Ely Rents and deliver her to the Church-wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to Some or one of them, who are here-
by required to provide for her according to Law. Given
under our Hands and Seals the 28th. Day of
October 17 62.

To the Church-Wardens Overseers of
the Poor of therespective Parish of
St. Giles in the Fields
in the County of Middlesex ,
and the Liberty of Saffron Hill
Hatton Garden & Ely Rents in the sd. County
and to all Officers whom it may
concern.
