Petition of the Churchwarden and Overseers
of the poor of the Liberty of Saffron Hill
Hatton Garden and Ely Rents in the parish of
Saint Andrew Holborn in the County of
Middlesex Exparte Mary Bolton< no role > an Apprentice

Mary Bolton< no role > of the parish of St. Andrew Holborn in the County
of Middlesex Spinster (the Apprentice above mentioned) and
William Herbert< no role > Clock to Joshua Cox< no role > of Greys Inn in
the County of Middlesex Gent. severally make Oath and say
as follows and first the said Mary Bolton< no role > for herself saith
that about Five years ago she this Deponent was by the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint
Sepulcre £ in the said County of Middlesex bound apprentice
by Indenture to Nicholas Larkin< no role > of the parish of Saint Giles
in the Fields in the sd. County of Middlesex Milkseller and
Margaret< no role > his wife or one of them and Did accordingly by Dwell and
Continue with her said Master and Mistress as their Apprentice
about four years and an half the first year of which Term her
said Master and Mistress Continued to Dwell in the said Parish
of Saint Giles in the Fields and then removed out of the said
parish of Saint Giles in the Fields and took a House in
Grey hound Court in the Liberty of Saffron Hill Hatton Garden
and Ely Rents in the parish of Saint Andrew Holborn in the sd.
County of Middx and there continued and dwelt together with
this Deponent about three years and an half And this
Deponent further saith that some day in or about the Month of
July or Augustnow last past her said Master
sent her this Deponent of an Errand into Wild Street near
Great Queen Street Lincolns Inn Fields and that when she this
Deponent returned home she found that her said Master and
Mistress were both gone away from their said house and the house
Shut up (they having before Sold the Greatest part of ther
Household Goods) And this Deponent further saith that since her
being so sent to Wild Street as before mentioned she hath not
seen her said Master or Mistress or either of them nor Doth this
Deponent know where they the said Nicholas Larkin< no role > and Margaret
