this Deponent Did become Bail for one Ann Mills< no role >
otherwise Osborn< no role >
(upon An Indictment for keeping a Disorderly House) for her
appearance at January Session last at Hicks Hall
in Saint John
Street
in the said County and that before the said Session the said
Ann Mills< no role >
Did Abscond and go away into the Country and that
this Deponent Did thereupon make the utmost Enquiry to find
her out in Order to render her in Discharge of his Bail
but was not able to Catch her till within the Space of three
Weeks last past when this Deponent took her up on a
Warrant and got her Committed thereon to New prison
Clerken
well
in Order that she might be Tryed for the said
Offence and the said Ann Mills< no role >
was thereupon Accordingly
Tryed at the present Session on the said Indictment and
Acquitted thereof And this Deponent says that ever since his
becoming Bail for the said Ann Mills< no role >
he hath not only taken
the Utmost pains to bring her to Justice but hath been at
a very large Expence to Catch her and bring her before the
Court as aforesaid.
