(who not understanding the English Language)
by Nicholas Brandt< no role > being first duly
Sworn truly to Interpret, taken before
me One of his Majestys Justices of
the peace for the said County.

Who being upon Oath saith that on Wednesday Night about
Twelve or One [..] into beingon the Sixteenth instant, being a
Stranger in London he lost his Way and spoke to two Coaches
in Order to carry him to Limehouse which they both
refused and whilst this Informt. was speaking to the last
Coachman a Person now present who calls himself John
Plackett
< no role > as this Informt. veryly believes both from his Size
and Voice came up to this Informant and offered to store
him the Way to Limehouse and after walking with the
said Person about half an Hour he apprehended the, sd Person
wasleadingconducting him the wrong Way and accordingly told
him so in the best Manner he could when he received a [..]
violent Blow on his Head which falled him to the Ground
and believes it was not struck with a Common Stick but
with what Weapon he cannot tell by reason of his
always walking before the said Person and when he
was so knock'd down he received another violent Blow
which rendered him quite insensible and whilst he was
in that Condition he was robb'd and shipped of the
following Money and Things Vizt. One Moidore one Quarter
