Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the parish of Saint
James within the Liberty of Westminster
in the County of
Middlesex
.
Sheweth,
That by Virtue of a pass Warrant or Order under the hands
and Seals of
Fran: Bedwell< no role >
and
Barth: Hammond< no role >
Esqrs: two of His
Majesty's Justices of the peace
for the County of Middlesex
(one whereof being
of the Quorum) bearing date the 22d. day of May 1762
Margaret Hill< no role >
wife of
Samuel Hill< no role >
(gone from her) with one Child
Mary< no role >
aged about
two Months were removed from the parish of Saint Clement Danes
in the
County of Middlesex
to the said parish of Saint James
as the place of their
last legal Settlement whereby your Petitioners think themselves
Aggreived and Appeal to this Court against the same.
Your Petitioners therefore humbly pray that the
benefit of this their Appeal may be saved unto them until
the next General Quarter Sessions of the peace to be
holden for this County And that the hearing and determining
thereof may be adjourned until the said next General
Quarter Sessions of the peace And that the Church
Wardens and Overseers of the poor of the said parish of Saint
Clement Danes
and all persons concerned may be
Ordered then to Attend To hear and abide the Indgment
and determination of this Court touching the said Appeal.
