To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Cranford
in the County of Middx
and to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Chadlington
in the County of Oxford

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made by you the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Said Parish of Cranford aforesaid
unto us whose Hands and Seals are
hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace (where-
of one is of the Quorum (for the County of Middx afore-
said, that John Smith< no role > & Tabitha< no role > his
Wife
lately intruded into your said Parish of Cranford

there to inhabit as Parishioner contrary to the Laws relating to
the Settlement of the Poor, and there likely to become char-
geable, if not timely prevented: AND WHEREAS, upon due
Examination and Enquiry made into the Premises, upon
the Oath of the said John Smith< no role >
it appears unto Us, and we accordingly adjudge, that the Said
John Smith< no role > & Jabitha his Wife are

like to become chargeable unto the said Parish of Cranford
and that the last legal Place of
Settlement of the said John Smith< no role > & Jabitha
his Wife is in the said Parish of
Chadlington in Oxfordshire

THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and re-
quire you the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of Cranford aforesaid, that you
of some of you, do forthwith remove and convey the said John
Smith
< no role > & Jabitha his Wife
from your said Parish of of
Cranford to the said Parish of of
Chadlington and them deliver
to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or Some
or one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or a
true Copy hereof; whereby they are likewise require, in his
Majesty's Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such Case
Made, forthwith to receive the said John Smith< no role > &
Jabitha his wife
into their said Parish and provide for them
as their own Parishioners GIVEN under our Hands and Seals the
Twenty third Day of March in the Year of our
Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty two
