To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of St. Mary White Chapel
in the County of Middlesex
and to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Hamlet of Mile End Old Town in the Parish of
St. Dunstan Stepeney in the County of Middlesex .

Whereas Complaint hath been made by you the Church-Wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Mary
White Chapel unto us whose Hands
and Seals are hereunto set, two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace
(whereof one is of the Quorum) for the County aforesaid,
That Anna Maria Rider< no role > This name instance is in set 438. This set is in the group(s): MothersPS . single woman , with
a Male Child aged near Six Months born upon her

Body a Bastard out of Lawful Matrimony

lately intruded and came into your said Parish of St.
Mary White Chapel
there to inhabit as your Parishioners contrary to the Laws relating to
the Settlement of the Poor, and [..] there like to become charge-
able, if not timely prevented: And whereas, upon due Examinati-
on and Requiry, made into the Premises upon Oath, it appears unto
us, and we accordingly adjudge, That the said Anna Maria

Anna Maria Rider and the said Male Bastard Child
are is
like to become chargeable unto the said Parish to St. Mary
White Chapel and that the last legal Place of
Settlement of the said Anna Maria Rider and her said
amendmt his is in the said Hamlet of
Mile End Old Town

There are therefore in His Majesty's Name, to order and require you
the said Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. Mary White Chapel aforesaid, that you
or some of you, do forthwith remove and convey the said Anna
Maria Rider and her said Child with her for
Nurture from your said Parish of St. Mary
White Chapel to the said Hamlet of Mile End
Old Town and them deliver
to the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some or
one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or some or
Copy hereof; whereby they are likewise required in His Majesty's
Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in Such Case made, forthwith
to receive the said Anna Maria Rider and her
said Child
into their said Hamlet and provide for them
as their own Parishioners Then under our Hands and Seals, the
27th Day of January in the Year of our
Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and [..] sixty two.

This Order into amended their that
the Justices adjudge the Settlement
of Anna Maria Rider is in Etc.

And Order Etc. to remove & convey the Sd. Child [..] with its said Mor. for Nurture [..] it
attain 7 years of age it appearing that Sd Child Legally Setted in the Par of the [..] it was born
