The Information of Magdalen Masquerier< no role > of Coventry Street Widow
taken before me this 21st. Day of Febry 1762.

Who being upon Oath Says that about two or three Days after the Coronation
a Person new present who calls herself Elizabeth Butson< no role > came into her shop
and Chepon'd some gold Rings, Says that several was shew'd to her but none
wod. suit her, says that she wanted some Thicker then this Informts. and desired
her to make her two agt. the next Day and she wod. call for them, and at the
Same time desired a Prisey in the Inside, which [..] she wrote down in a
price of paper and gave it to this Informt. but what she did with it does not
know Says that the said Elizabeth Barton< no role > did not come the next Day according to
her promise nor ever has seen her since till this time, And this Informant
further says that at the time she was Chapeing the said Rings the feloniously
and privately took and Carryed away one [..] gold Ring from amongst the
Rest became before she went out of the Shop this Informt. Miss'd it, but had
not presence of Mind to Stop her.
