The Information of Christiania the Wife of
Thos: Smith< no role > taken before me one of His Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the Sd: County

Who being on Oath saith that about Six Weeks ago this Informt:
had looked up in her Drawers in her own lodging room about
fifty pounds in Gold upwards of ten pounds in half Crowns
Seven Crown peices and about the quantity of three pounds in small
peices of Silver under the Value of Six pences and this Informt: saith
that at looking upon her Money several times she found the same
considerably lessined insomuch that her Gold was reduced to about
twenty pounds the half Crowns to Six pounds [..] four of the
Crown Peices gone and the greater part of the small peices of money
also gone And this Informant had a person Now lived with her as a maid
Servant about seven weeks who calls herself Elizabeth Parker< no role > and
this Informt: observing the Sd Elizabeth being Continuely laying
out Sums of Money upon Cloths and other things improper to
her Station and upon inquiry in the neighbourhood finding she had
laid out sums of money extravagantly this Informt: suspected that
the Sd: Elizabeth was the person who had taken away the Sd. Money
more especialy as the Sd: Elizabeth was the only person intrusted to
go into this Informts: room saving this Informt: and her Husband
and this Informt: upon Searching the Box [..] belonging to the
Sd Elizabeth she found a Queen Arms Silver two pence which from
a mark upon it this Informt: is possitive that it is me of the
Small Peices of Silver among the othe peices before mentioned
and also a slip of printed paper containing an Account of the
dimensions of St Pauls Church which this Informt: is certain
was in the place where the Sd Money wad deposited And this
Informant further saith that from the above Circumstances
she verily beleives that the Sd Elizabeth is the person that Stole
the Sd Money, which she is certain amounts to much more than
Twenty Pounds, and no other person.

Sworn before me the
