We whose Names are hereunto subscribed
being the Overseers of the Poor of the parish of St.
Clemt. Danes in the County of Middlesex Do hereby
Certify That Edmund Pain< no role > who has Entered into
Recognizance with Sureties to appear at the General
Session of the Peace now holden for the said County
to Answer the Complaint of the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish for
Unlawfully begetting a Male Bastard Child on the
Body of Jane Simmins< no role > This name instance is in set 416. This set is in the group(s): MothersCD . Single Woman born in the
said Parish has given sufficient Security to indemnify
the said Parish from all costs and charges that may
happen to them on Account of the said Male
Bastard Child being born in the said Parish
as Witness our hands this 12th. day of Septr. 1760.
