Taken before me this 26th. day of May 1760
Who being upon Oath says that on Saturday Night last this Informt.
having been to See a Sick Relation in Russell Court Covent Garden
in his return from thence, Passed a Person now present who
calls himself Patrick Donnelly< no role >
in Bedford Street
about the horn of
Eleven, who followed this Informant from Bedford Street
into Hart
Street Covent Garden
, (this Informant being then going to they Dids)
says, that mistaking a Court in Hart Street
through which there was
no thorough-Fair into Lengaere, was obliged to turnback aways the
said Patrick Donnelly< no role >
still continued to follow this Informant, and
Just as this Informant turner round in the said County, came up to
this Informant, feloniously assaulted him, and feloniously Tostr
from his Person one gold watch now produced, says he this Informant
then seized hold of the said Donnelly in order to secure him upon
which the said Donnelly Struck him twice and endeavoured to
Escape, but that this Informant still held him and called out
Watch whereupon Assistance was given him by a Soldier and
the Watch who secured the said Donnelly
