To the Worshipful his Majesties Justices of
the Peace for the County of Middlesex in General
Session Assembled at Hicks Hall in St.
John Street in and for the said County

The humble Petition of William Pentlow< no role > and John
Turner
< no role > Keepers of his Majesties Prisons or Goals
of New Prison Clerkenwell and Clerkenwell
Bridewell in the said County

Most Humbly Sheweth that your Petitioners
at the last Quarter Session held for the said County
at Hicks Hall aforesaid Your Petitioner then
most humbly Presented their Petition unto your
Worships Praying for some relief towards the great
Expences they are at in Attending the Magistrates with
Prisoners on Re Examinations, Attending with Prisonrs
Admitted Evidences at Hicks Hall and the Old Bailey
and in being Obliged to pay the Window Tax and for
Water to Supply the Prisoners in their respective
Prisons Etc Your Worships were then pleas'd to Order
your Petitionrs. to lay their Petition again before you
as this Day And that your Worships would then Consider
of and grant us a Sufficient relief as to the paymt.
of the said Window Lights and Water and for which
your Petitioners as in Duty Bound will for ever
pray Etc
