At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden for the
County of Middx at Hicks Hall in St. John Street in the County aforesaid by adjournment on Tuesday
the tenth day of January in the thirty first year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second
King of Great Britain Etc before Thomas Lane< no role > Bartholomew Hammond< no role > Francis Bedwell< no role > Thomas
Niccoll
< no role > Esqrs . and others their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the peace in
the County aforesaid and also to hear and determine divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds
committed in the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St. Ann within the
Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middx exhibited their humble Petition and Appeal under
the Court of the last General Session of the Peace holden for the said County on Monday [..]
Fifth Dayof December last Setting forth That by an Order under the hands and Seals
of John Cox< no role > and Stephen Clark< no role > Esqrs. two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County of
Middx (one being of the Quorum) bearing date the tenth day of November last Johanna
Eastwood
< no role > Wife of John Eastwood< no role > (now in Newgate for Debt) was removed from the Parish of
St. Giles in the Fields in the said County of Middx to the said Parish of St. Ann as the place of
her last legal Settlement, which Appeal was and stands adjourned untill this present General
Quarter Session of the Peace holden for the said County and the said Appeal being appointed to
be heard on this present Tuesday the tenth day of January instant Now upon Motion made
unto this Court by Mr. Stow of Council for the said Appellants praying that the hearing of the
said Appeal may be further adjourned and offering several reasons for that purpose It is
Ordered by this Court that the hearing and determining the Matter of the said Appeal be and
the same is hereby adjourned untill the next General Session of the Peace to be holden for [..]
said County And that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of both the said Parished [..]
all Persons concerned do attend the Court of the said next General Session of the Peace to be
holden for the said County by adjournment on Tuesday the twenty first day of February next at ten of
the Clock in the Forenoon to hear and abide the Judgment and Determination of the same Court
touching the said Appeal.
