At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our Sovereign Lord the King
holden [..] at Hicks Hall in St. John Street in and for the County of Middx By
At the General Quarter Sessions EtcAdjornmt. on Thursday the
Twenty First day of April [..] in the Thirtieth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
George the Second King of Great Britain Etc.

Whereas by An Act of Parliament made in the Seventeenth Year of his
Present Majestys Reign Commonly Called the Vagrant Act among other
things It is Enacted That all persons going about as Patent Gatherers
or Gatherers of Alms under presence of loss by Fire or other Casually or
as Collectors for Prisons Goals or Hospitals and all persons Wandering
abroad and Lodging in Alehouse Barors Out houses or in the Open Air
not giving a good account of themselves And all other persons wandering
abroad and Begging Shall be deemed Rogues and Vagabonds within the
the true intent and meaning of the said Act And all Persons who after
having been Punished as Rogues and Vagabonds and discharged shall
again Committ any of the said offences: [..] shall be deemed
Incorrigible Rogues

That where any Rogues or Vagabonds are Apprehended and
brought before any Justice such Justices [..] is requires to order
all such persons to be Publicly whipt by the Constable or to send
such Offenders to the House of Correction unfil the next Sessions
or [..] And if the Justices at such Sessions shall Adjudge suchOffenders
persons [..] Rogues & Vagabonds or [..] Incorrigible Rogues they may
Order such Rogues and Vagabonds to be Kept to hard Labour for any
time not exceeding Six Months And such Incorrigible Rogues for
any time not exceeding two Years not less there Six Months and
during the time of such Person's Confinement to be Corrected by Whipping
in Such manner and at such times and Places as [..] the Court shall thento fit
And in Case [..] any Incorrigible Rogue shall Offend again [..] he shall
be deemed Guilty of Felony and be [..] Transportedas other Felony are
Transported
for any Time not exceeding Seven Years.

[..] That if any person shall knowing permit any Rogue
Vagabond or incorrigible Rogue to Lodge or take Sheller in his or
her house Barn or other Building and Shall not Apprehend and Carry them
before some Justice of the Peace such persons shall forfeit any Sum
not exceeding forty Shillings [..] less then ten [..] And in
Case any Constable or other person directed to put the said Act
in Execution shall be remiss or negligent in [..] their duty Or in,
Case any person or persons shall disturb or hinder the Execution
of the said Act such persons shall forfeit and pay upon Conviction
