Some time Ago (that is to say) on Tuesday next after the Octave of the Purification of thePacification of the
blessed Virgin Mary in the twenty eighth Year of the Region of our Sovereign Lord George the Second King of Great Britain Etc
in the Court of our said Lord the King before the King himself at Westminster in the County of Middlesex upon the Oath of
twelve Jurors good and Lawful Men of the County aforesaid then and there Sworn and charged to Inquire our said
Lord the King for the Body of the said County It was Presented as followeth (that is to say) Middx (to wit) The
Jurors of our Lord the King upon their Oath Present That Bartholomew Robinson late of the Parish of Saint
Andrew Holborn in the County of Middlesex Tinman on the fourteenth day of December in the twenty eighth
Year of the Regin of our Sovereign Lord George the second King of Great Britain Etc with force and Arms at
the Parish aforesaid in the County aforesaid in and upon one Isabella the Wife of Joseph Sharp< no role > in the peace
of God and our said Lord the King then and there being did make an Assault and her the said Isabella then
and there did beat Wound and ill treat so that her Life was greatly despaired of and four Linnen
Handkerchiefs of the Value of two Shillings of the Goods and Chattles of the said Joseph Sharp< no role > from the person
and against the Wile of the said Isabella Unlawfully and Injuriously did take and Carry away and other
Wrongs to the said Joseph and Isabella then and there did To the great Damage of the said Joseph and
Isabella and against the Peace of our said Lord the King his Grown and Dignity And the Jurors aforesaid
Upon their Oath aforesaid do further Present That the said Bartholomew Robinson< no role > on the said fourteenth day
of December in the Year aforesaid with force and Arms at the Parish aforesaid in the County aforesaid in and upon
The said Isabella< no role > the Wife of the said Joseph Sharp< no role > in the Peace of God and our said Lord the King then and there
being did make an Assault and her the said Isabella then and there did beat wound and treat so ill that he
Life was greatly despaired off and other Wrongs to the said Isabella then and there did To the great damage
of the said Isabella and against the Peace of our Lord the King his brown and Dignity Wherefore the Sheriff of the
said County of Middlesex was Commanded that should not for bear by reason of any Liberty in his Bailiwick
but that the should cause him to come to Answer to our said Present Sovereign Lord the King touching and
concerning the Premisses aforesaid And Now (that is to say) on Wednesday next after fifteen days from
the Feast day of Easter in this same Term before our said Present Sovereign Lord the King at Westminster
[..] Come [..] the said Bartholomew Robinson by William Hughes< no role > his Attorney and having heard the said Indictment
read her saith that he is not Guilty thereof and hereupon he Putteth himself upon the Country And James Burrow< no role >
Esquire Coroner and Attorney of our said Present Sovereign Lord the King in the Court of our said Present
Sovereign Lord the King before the King himself who for our said Present Sovereign Lord the King in this behalf
Prosecuteth doth the like Therefore let a Jury thereupon come before our said Present Sovereign Lord the
King at Westminster on Friday next after the Morrow of the Holy Trinity by whom the Truth of the matter may be
the better Known and who then be not of the Kindred of the said Bartholomew Robinson to try upon their Oath if the
said Bartholomew Robinson be Guilty of the Premisses aforesaid or not Because as well the said James Burrow< no role >
Esquire who for our said Present Sovereign Lord the King in this behalf Prosecuteth as the said Bartholomew
Robinson have thereupon put themselves upon the said Jury the same Day is given as well to the said James
Burrow

Bartholomew Robinson On Which Day (to wit) on Friday next after the Morrow of the Holy Trinity aforesaid before

for our said Present Sovereign Lord the King in this behalf Prosecuteth as the said Bartholomew Robinson
By his Attorney aforesaid And the Sheriff of the said County of Middlesex hath returned the Names of twelve
Jurors none of whom [..] came to try in form aforesaid Therefore the Sheriff of the said County of Middlesex is
