The Information and Voluntary Confesion of
Edward Allen< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. of Cotterit in the County of Hertford
Taken upon Oath before me one of his Majesties
Justices of the Peace for this County the 17th
Day of December 1753

And first this Informant Saith
That on Tuesday last he overtook one Lucas (whose
Christian Name he does not know) of Mundin in the
Said County of [..] Hertford and that the Said Lucas
Ask'd him this Deponent if he wou'd drive a Parcell
of sheep up to London for him and sell them which
Sheep the said Lucas had along with him being
Forty Two in Number, And this Deponent further
Saith that he undertook to drive and sell the said
Sheep and that he sold Twenty of the sand Sheep to
one George Story< no role > a Butcher at Tottenham for
Fifteen Guineas and Received Half a Guinea in
Part of Payment, And this Deponent further
Saith that he Sold another of the said sheep to one
Elsome a Butcher at Enfield for Twenty Shillings
and Received the Mony, and Saith that he does not
know anything how the Said Lucas came by the
said sheep
